I’m alive…and Porn.

May 22, 2008 in Love Handles, Ramblings

Time flies when you have your nose buried in work. I’ve been in the midst of updating my other site, BasementNerd.com, since that was in serious neglect, as well as building a new PC.

I’ve fallen off of the broadcast wagon the past few weeks, and have been only playing prerecorded mixes, or general playlists from iTunes. It’s time to get back to proper shows…stay tuned for an update.

Meanwhile, I found this video the other day. I’m sure it’s not exactly new to a lot of you, but I thought it timely and relevant. Enjoy.

Radio Rewind

May 12, 2008 in Love Handles, Ramblings

Due to some last minute business emergencies, I will not be broadcasting LIVE tonight.

Instead, I will either A) Replay a previous show or B) Play an entire night of LIFE Boston.

Either way, you will have some music to groove to…you just won’t have the sultry tones of my silken throat. Same time as always. 8pm East/5pm West.

And now, two of my favorite things in one clip: boobs and scratchin’

Show Recap – 05.05.2008

May 05, 2008 in Love Handles

I think the show last night was a complete success. Sure, I was having severe mic issues, yeah I was peaking out the VU’s as I screeched, of course the phone call with old Yist ended prematurely. All that considered, it could have been worse.

Feel free to DOWNLOAD THE SHOW.
I’ve been using the EatLime sharing service for these huge files, and I’m pretty happy with it. Let me know your experience. Hell, anything that keeps me from blowing out my bandwidth is fine by me.

Here is the VIDEO referenced during the show. Soulja girl!

(Edit 5/7/08 – apparently this video has been removed from MySpaceTV.com. So you see, I get the good stuff before the Interweb is even aware!!)

Introducing…F.I.T.E.

May 05, 2008 in Announcement, Love Handles

If some of you recall, I did a bit a few weeks back (when speaking to Old Yist) about my participation in a boy band in the late 80’s. Well folks, the infamous F.I.T.E. tape has been found and I was busy over the weekend converting it to digital. I even left all of the horrible tape noise in there for true authenticity.
Sitting next to said tape, was an additional bonus: me attempting to freestyle.

Tonight’s show will be a cringe-inducing douche-chill session. If you ever wanted dirt on me, here it comes.

We start at 8pm EDT. Be sure to tune in.

DLH – 4.21.2008 Live Show Recap

Apr 21, 2008 in Love Handles

Holy sh**…This show went WAY off tangent tonight. I meant to go in and take a journey back in time with some of the records I used to play in college. Instead, I wound up talking about my first musical group F.I.T.E (Fellas In Total Effect). You gotta download the show and listen to me tell Old Yist all about it. Big love to everyone that stopped by including all my West coast gang. Thanks for listening to this idiot.

Deep’s What?

Apr 21, 2008 in Announcement, Love Handles

Some folks have been asking me why I call the show “Deep’s Love Handles.” If you have a set of eyes that work properly, you can see that I have a little extra manhood hanging around my waist. No, I am not smuggling grapefruits in the back of my T-Shirt. Since I have recently become obsessed with losing them, I figured it’s a good way to keep them front and center. Maybe at some point down the road, I’ll change the name of the show, but for now it works. The second reason is due to the song by Keller Williams (check the video). Though he’s more know for entertaining the dirty hippie crowd, I think his music and style of playing the git-tar are pretty damned cool. So, in preparation for the show TONIGHT AT 8PM EASTERN, I give you….

“Meh” Monday

Apr 14, 2008 in Announcement, Love Handles

OK, so the “up at 4:45 am every day to go to the gym” thing gets a little old from time to time, but in the end it’s going to be worth it. I know that because I am down 9 pounds from my start about a month ago. That said, I’m felling a bit run down today. As all good radio DJs soldier on, so shall I, to bring you another edition of the Love Handles tonight, muscle fatigue and all.

Tune in at 8pm sharp. This rickshaw waits for no man.
